Introduction

NW - noted that the VOTC would be responsible for developing exemplar science use cases based on implemntations coming from the DS groups.

MA - what is the likely science team effort for the Jun 2005 ESO workshop.

AW - thinks that VOTECH should be involved in this. Main aim to reach the data centres

VST-TM1- 1 AGREED: not likely to be a science focus to this meeting.

NW: going into the TAP - what are the main 'science' issues

VST-TM1-2 AGREED The various DS groups ideas for Stage 1 seem sensible from the scientific point of view

Initial post 'stage one' implementation plans - exemplar science for early 2006.

NW - IAU 2006 symp coming - maybe a science focussed user meeting Nov/Dec time in 2005.

AR - need to interface to the other FP6 astronomy projects as well.

VST-TM1-3 ACTION - NW - need to list astronomy conferences to target - aim some exemplar science releases at specific high profile astro conferences.

VST-TM1-4 ACTION - NW - check on timescales for the variuos upcoming science/VO meetings, and issue some preliminary ideas as to exemplar science ideas and where and when these should be released (and to who).

VST-TM1-5 ACTION - AR - start analysis of SRM - put up a wiki page for this.

Set up a where are people going to speak - will there be a VO angle to their presentation.

VST-TM1-6 ACTION - NW - Poll for dates in MAY 2005, before the next round of Stage2 planning meetings and TAP.
