Meeting Arrangements

Meeting Equipment

Wireless networking will be available in the Hoyle lecture theatre and the Hoyle committee rooms. There will be a fixed line available in the Earth sciences meeting room. Digital projectors and OHPs will be provided.

Location

The meeting will be held in two main locations: the Earth Science building (in the Bullard Building, Dept of Earth Sciences, Madingley Road - just past the Hoyle building - see 11 on map) and the Hoyle building - primarily the Sacker Lecture Theatre - a map of the IoA gives the local locations.

Lectures on day one and the morning of day two will be in the Earth Science lecture room. Lectures for the afternoon of day two will be in the Hoyle's Sackler lecture theatre.

Breakout meetings for either day one or two will be held either in the Hoyle committee room.

Travel and Weather

Information as to how to get to the IoA can be found at TravelToIoA

Accommodation

It would be good if you could arrange your own accomodation if needed for this meeting. The Cambridge tourist office has an extensive accommodation page. Cambridge hotels are also listed - the Cambridge Lodge Hotel is the closest to the IoA - a 10 minute walk. Another recommended hotel is the Arundel House. This is a healthy 20 minute walk from the IOA but convenient for the historic city centre.
