The planning meetings for Stage 02 will take place in September 2005, as follows:

• DS Planning meetings: 14-16 September 2005
  • Wed pm: DS6
  • Thu am: DS5
  • Thu pm: DS4
  • Fri am: DS3
  • Fri pm: cross-DS coordination

• TAP meeting: 28-29 September 2005

DS Planning Meetings: 14-16 September 2005

Location

The DS Planning meetings will be held at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh (ROE). Directions to ROE are available here, while a list of local accommodation is given here: unfortunately, attendees will have to make their own accommodation bookings, as recent experience has revealed that hotels and B&Bs in Edinburgh will not accept unsecured short bookings on behalf of third parties during what is still the busy tourist season in Edinburgh.

The meetings will take place in the Management Building Meeting Room. Please ask for directions to there when you sign in at the Lodge on arrival; the Lodge is the building immediately to your left as you enter the ROE gates.

The schedules for the days are as follows:

• Morning Meetings:
  • 09.00 tea/coffee
  • 09.00-11.00 Session 1
  • 11.00 tea/coffee
  • 11.30-13.00 Session 2

• Lunch: 13.00-14.00

• Afternoon Meetings:
  • 14.00-16.00 Session 1
  • 16.00-16.30 tea/coffee
  • 16.30-18.00 Session 2

• Meeting Close: 18.00

A sandwich lunch will be served in or near the meeting room on each day - i.e. including Wednesday.

Network Access

Wireless networking will be available in the meeting room. This requires a username and password which must be assigned before arrival: it will not be possible to sign up for wireless access on the day. Those wishing to use the wireless connection should email Main.BobMann (rgm@roe.ac.uk) by September 9th. Anyone wanting to give a demo requiring network access during the meeting is requested to contact Main.BobMann as soon as possible.
